Leila El Krekshi

I am a Mental Health Resilience and Yoga for the Nervous System Practitioner, with a multidisciplinary background in international development, human rights, and holistic wellbeing. I support individuals and professionals navigating high-pressure environments—whether in international development, humanitarian, legal, corporate, creative, or personal life contexts—offering grounded, personalized tools to restore emotional balance, build resilience, and reconnect with the body.

My sessions integrate classical yoga, breathwork, somatic practices, and psychoeducational tools, with a strong focus on nervous system regulation and emotional wellbeing. My background includes training in classical yoga, nature cure (Ayurveda), the neuroscience of yoga, mental health resilience (Mieli Mental Health Finland), mental health first aid, movement-based methods—including somatic and embodiment approaches such as the Silvestre Technique and an introduction to Somatic Experiencing.

I offer one-to-one sessions, wellbeing courses, and mental health workshops focused on emotional regulation, stress management, and nervous system support. My approach is gentle and individualized—rooted in breathwork, mindful movement, and nervous system education rather than postural yoga alone. These sessions are especially supportive for those experiencing stress, burnout, emotional overload, or nervous system dysregulation.

My embodiment work is also shaped by a background in Afro-Brazilian dance, capoeira, and the Silvestre Technique—disciplines that continue to influence how I approach rhythm, presence, and body-based regulation.

Based in Menorca, I also provide in-person sessions for clients seeking focused support in a calm, restorative setting. I am available to travel to facilitate workshops or retreats upon request.

In parallel, I work as a freelance consultant in international development, mental health and human rights, with hands-on experience in crisis support, refugee mental health, radicalisation, and human trafficking victim support. This dual path informs my compassionate and practical approach to supporting others.

I speak English, Arabic, French, Finnish, and Spanish, some Portuguese, and basic Swedish, and Swahili. Outside of work, I find grounding in movement, rhythm, and mindful living—through dance, martial arts, and daily practices that support presence and balance.
